Carrer de Sant HonoratDay 1 - Barcelona
Your driver will greet you and take you to your hotel located by the sophisticated and elegant "Paseo da Gracia" Avenue. After you've checked in, rest for a few hours. This afternoon enjoy a panoramic tour of this artistic and cosmopolitan city called by many the "Paris of the South." Tonight, partake in a welcome dinner at one of the many restaurants which have earned Barcelona the reputation as Spain's culinary capital of the north. (D)

Day 2 - Barcelona
This morning, your knowledgeable guide and expert in Jewish history will meet you at your hotel. Start your day with a visit to architect Antonio Gaudi's masterpiece, "La Sagrada Familia," Barcelona's architectural landmark one of the most admired buildings in the world.

Continue to the old Gothic District. Here, embark on a detailed walking tour of the former and once thriving Jewish Quarter. Visit the Generalite Palace (where the Disputation between Nachmamides and the Converso Pau Cristi took place at the end of the 13 century), the city museum and the many other sites of importance to Spanish Jewish history.

Visit the Pablo Picasso museum, which houses the largest retrospective and permanent exhibit of this great artist. Your guide will take you through Picasso's different stages of art development. Afterwards, relax while enjoying a delicious Catalan lunch by the museum. Rest of the day on your own. (B & L)

This morning, travel by train to the medieval city of Girona, once an important Roman post during the 2nd century, where you'll be met by your guide.

Tour its famous "Call," the former thriving Jewish Quarter during the 12th and 13th century.
Visit the informative Nachmamides Institute of Jewish Studies, where the Synagogue was originally built, the Arabian Baths and the medieval section of this fascinating historic city. After lunch, return to Barcelona. Rest of the day on your own. (B & L)

Day 4 - Barcelona - Tarragona - Barcelona
Enjoy the train ride to this unique historical city by the sea. Your guide will greet you at the train station. Start your visit with the Roman Museum a magnificent structure, full of archeological findings and underground tunnels, which all lead to the remains of the Amphitheater. Continue on a walking tour of the original Jewish "Call," the medieval quarter where you'll visit the 13th century burial monument built in honor of King James of Aragon, the Conqueror and the building where the first Inquisition tribunal was established during the 13th century. End your tour of this picturesque fishing port by dining along the shore. After lunch return to Barcelona. (B & L)

Day 5 - Sitges
This morning, leave by train for the popular and lovely Costa Brava white town of "Sitges by the Sea," a favorite getaway for locals. Your guide will meet you at the train station and take you to your hotel. Spend the day on your own enjoying the beach, strolling down the promenade, or meandering through the white winding streets of this lively town. This afternoon do some shopping or relax by the pool. In the evening, join in the lively atmosphere that Sitges has to offer. Tonight, savor a typical dinner a la "Catalan." (B & D)

Day 6 - Sitges
Your driver will pick you up and take you to Spain's northern Wine and "Cava" region and Valley of Penedes. Start with a visit to Penedes, Wine and "Cava" museum.

Learn how the art of wine making has been passed from one generation to another for over 400 years. This will be followed by a tour of this historical town. Here, learn of the different festivities which take place throughout the year. Continue with an informative visit to various family owned "bodegas," where you'll taste wines not exported outside of Spain. Finish your visit to Penedes with a delicious lunch at one of the many popular "Masias" (small chateaux's) owned and run by local families and overlooking the Valley and its vineyards. (B & L)

Day 7 - Sitges
Spend your last day relaxing on your own or doing last minute shopping. If you like, you can visit the historical part of this quaint town and its beautiful city museum. This evening, enjoy a good-bye dinner in one of Sitges, favorite restaurants. (B & D)

Day 8 - Your driver will pick you up this morning and take you to Barcelona's International Airport for your flight back home. (B)

Enjoy a detailed tour of the museum's architectural design, in addition to the permanent collection of art and temporary exhibits taking place. Rest of the day on your own. This evening, savor the local food by having dinner in one of Bilbaos favorite restaurants. (B & D)

Day 5 - Bilbao - Santiago de Compostela (via Madrid)
Today, a driver will take you to the airport for your flight to Madrid. Here you'll connect to your flight to the medieval city of "Santiago de Compostela," where the "Road of the Pilgrim ends." Your driver will pick you up at Santiago's airport and leave you at your lovely accommodations, located the heart of the city. This afternoon, (on your own) take some time and become acquainted with Santiago while walking through the old streets and old squares that can found throughout this historical city. Tonight enjoy a lovely dinner in one of Santiago's colorful restaurants. (B & D)

Day 6 - Santiago de Compostela
Today your guide will meet you at your hotel and start your visit with a panoramic tour of this enchanting city. Your tour will include the "Plaza de Obradoiro," the Monastery of "San Pelayo de Alteares," the Palace of Dom Pedro, Santiago's imposing Cathedral with its "Portico de La Gloria" and the "Plaza Quintana". Rest of the afternoon on your own. Tonight, enjoy the regional cuisine in one of the Santiago's popular restaurants. (B & D)

Day 7 - Santiago de Compostela
Morning on your own. After lunch, your driver will take you to Santiago's Airport for your flight back to Barcelona. Once in Barcelona your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Evening on your own. Take this time do some last minute shopping or return to your favorite place in Barcelona. (B & L)
