


Day 2 - Madrid
This morning, your driver will pick you up and take you for a day visit to “El Escorial,” a
historic town and former home to King Philip II, during his long reign. Your guide will take
you on a detailed tour of the Palace/Monastery which houses an impressive art collection. After
lunch, continue to "El Valle de los Caidos" monument built after the Spanish Civil

Day
3 - Madrid - Toledo - Madrid<
This morning, you leave by train for the unique city of Toledo. Your guide, a former University
Professor and author of books on Toledo, will take you on a very detailed and informative tour
of this important city to both Jewish and Spanish history. Visit the well-preserved Old Jewish
Quarter, the Transito and Santa Maria Synagogues, as well as the home and museum of the famed
painter
"El Greco." He will also share with you his experiences as a young man during the
Spanish Civil War and how it affected Toledo. After your tour, partake in a delightful lunch
with a typical “Toledano” dish of Quail or Trout. Afterwards, you can return to
Madrid. (B & L)
Day 4 - Segovia
Today, you depart for historic Segovia by train. Your guide will greet you at the train station
and take you to your hotel. After you've checked in, your guide will will help you explore
this unique city. Visit the imposing and spectacular Roman Aqueduct, built in the year 211
A.D., and still functioning to this day. Continue with a visit to Segovia’s former
Jewish Quarter, where much of the Jewish Northern communities fate was decided after the
Expulsion Decree reached the city. In the afternoon, enjoy an exquisite lunch in one of the
most renowned restaurants in Spain, over 400 years old and frequented by celebrities, including
Spain's King Juan Carlos de Borbon and the Royal Family. Evening on your own. (B & L)
Day 5 - Segovia
This morning, your guide will meet at the hotel and continue your tour of Segovia with a visit
to the "Alcazar," Spain’s most famous medieval Castle. This will be followed
by a tour of the medieval quarter, the heart of the city, in addition to other main sites
of historical importance. Tonight, you will savor the local cuisine during dinner. (B & D)
Day
6 - Segovia - Salamanca - Segovia
This morning, leave by bus and spend the day in this magnificent medieval city. Your guide
will greet you at the bus station. Visit the beautifully engraved and designed Plaza Mayor,
which still holds “corridas de toros” to date, during special occasions. This will
be followed by a tour of the University, established over 500 years ago. A special visit to
the Jewish Studies Department has been arranged. Later, continue your tour of Salamanca by
visiting other sites of main interest. After lunch, return to Segovia. (B & L)
Day 7 - Madrid
This morning, enjoy your train ride back to Madrid. In the afternoon, your guide will pick
you up and take you for an informative visit of Madrid’s treasure,
“El Prado” Museum, which houses an internationally renowned art collection of classical
Spanish masters. After your tour of “El Prado,” you can walk through the old historic
part of Madrid by the Plaza Mayor where the city’s original bullfights took place in
the 16th century, or do some last minute shopping. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner by this
Plaza in one of the many delightful restaurants found by this beautiful square. (B & D)
Day 8 - Your driver will pick you up and take you to Madrid’s International Airport for your flight back home. (B)
